Attend this month's free exercise session, this Saturday, July 18, at Lorraine Park!

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke invites the community to join him at Lorraine Park pool, 2399 E. Adams Avenue, on Saturday, July 18th from 9am-11am for this month’s Energize Evansville “Fitness in the Park” free workout. The program will feature Water Aerobics with instructors from Tri-State Athletic Club.

Instructors will lead participants through different variations of each exercise so the exercise session is fun for all fitness levels. Everyone is encouraged to attend and exercise at their own pace.

“Fitness in the Park” is a health and fitness program launched by Mayor Winnecke as part of his Energize Evansville initiative to give individuals support to transform their lives thru physical activity. The program is usually held the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a different city park or venue and features local fitness experts leading group exercises for all ages.

Next month, “Fitness in the Park” will be held on the second Saturday of the month, August 8, at Hartke Pool, 201 N. Boeke Rd. The session will again feature Water Aerobics, this time with instructors from Bob’s Gym. The last day of the summer swimming season at Hartke Pool is Sunday, August 9.
