There is a new law in effect in Indiana and it involves purple paint. The law knicknamed the "Purple Paint Law' went into effect in July of this year but a lot of people may not be aware. In lieu of traditional "No Trespassing" signs, property owners are now encouraged to mark their property with purple paint. The paint is to warn potential trespassers to stay away. Unfortunately, the law is so new that not every one is aware yet. If you see purple paint on a tree or post, know that you need to not go any further.
