Almost all of us use the computer for information, entertainment and to search for specific things we're looking for, for one reason or another.   But beyond what's called the Surface Web, which you and I know, there are two underbelly's lying underneath the surface web...the Deep Web and the Dark Net.

The Deep Web finds things that search engines on the surface web cannot find. Other examples of Deep Web content can be found almost anytime you navigate away from Google and do a search directly 'in' a website – government databases and libraries contain huge amounts of Deep Web data.

If we get a little darker we now know that the Surface Web is anything that a search engine can access and the Deep Web is anything that a search engine can’t access. The Dark Web then is classified as a small portion of the Deep Web that has been intentionally hidden and can't be found through known web browsers.

An example of the Dark Net is the notorious website "The Silk Rose". It has been shut down twice by the government, but has recently resurfaced with "The Silk Rose 3"  So what's so awful about "The Silk Rose" and other similar site on the Dark Net?  Well, you can buy drugs, including heroin.  Guns of all kinds, AK-47's etc and there's human trafficking plus many more heinous activities.  Below are severaal videos of experts explaining the Deep Web and the Dark Web.  Fascinating!
