Residents in Henderson and Evansville who rely on the Twin Bridges to get to and from both cities need to plan on leaving a little early due to lane restrictions on the bridges beginning tomorrow.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 2 announced the restrictions in a Facebook post on December 7th.

As the post states, the restrictions will be in place on the southbound bridge heading into Henderson through Friday. The northbound bridge heading into Evansville will see similar restrictions Monday, December 19th through Friday, December 23rd.

The restrictions are being used to allow contractors to survey both bridges for the future installation of solar-powered navigation lights which is expected to begin February 1st, 2017 and be completed by May 1st, 2017, weather permitting.
