Those hoping for a reunion of the classic Hole lineup may not want to hear this. Even though Courtney Love reunited with guitarist Eric Erlandson, bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur and drummer Patty Schemel in the studio earlier this year, it now appears that Erlandson is the only one of the lineup still working with Love.

In a new interview with Inquirer.net, Love has ruled out a reunion concert with the band, explaining, "I don't want to get on the oldies circuit. I don't need to do that for money. I want to put out music that is relevant today. [Being] one of the last chicks in a rock 'n' roll band is a weird place to be. It's scary not to be selling out."

All four members got together in the studio, but Love even stated earlier this year that she feared she may have blown the chances for a reunion by talking about it in public. Love also kept her solo career going, issuing a pair of well-received new songs ahead of her U.K. tour dates.

She would also add in a later interview that she was not interested in reuniting the old lineup unless there was something to say, adding, "I can't live on the oldies circuit." Ultimately making the decision to not reunite the lineup, Love now adds, "It's tough to put Hole back together and make sure that it's relevant."
