As Flint, Mich., continues to face a crisis that has seen thousands of citizens potentially affected by a contaminated water supply, musicians continue to rally for support, throwing benefit shows to help out the community. The latest comes from Mule Kick, an all-star group of musicians that boasts Guns N' Roses drummer Frank Ferrer among their ranks. The band will be auctioning off a drum head signed by members of Guns N' Roses, possibly revealing the final incarnation of the new lineup.

The band is currently enjoying a Tuesday residency at the Beast of Bourbon in Brooklyn, N.Y., and will be playing a special show tomorrow (March 15) to benefit the citizens of Flint. A raffle will take place with prizes ranging from artwork, tickets to Ten Ton Mojo and John 5 as well as the aforementioned drum head.

A photo of the drum head (see below) sent in from rock and metal journalist Mitch Lafon, who hosts the 'One on One With Mitch Lafon' podcast. It was originally posted by Sureshan Pather, who owns the bar and is involved in the auction. The signatures present on the drum head appear to include Axl Rose, Frank Ferrer, Dizzy Reed, Duff McKagan, Slash and Richard Fortus. So far, only the participation of classic members Axl, Slash an Duff has been confirmed, but the others have been heavily rumored to be playing with the band during their upcoming April shows. Multi-instrumentalist Chris Pitman is also expected to take part, but it should be noted his signature does not appear on the drum head. He came under fire recently after calling the upcoming GN'R tour a "money grab" and a "nostalgia tour" in a social media post for which he later apologized.

Ferrer will not be taking part in tomorrow's show (perhaps he is busy rehearsing for GN'R's upcoming April shows) and will be replaced by Franklin Vanderbilt. The rest of the Mule Kick lineup consists of Rob Bailey (Steven Tyler), Rob Clores (the Black Crowes) and Brett Bass (Bernie Worrell).

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin was speculated to be taking part in the new lineup, but he appeared to shoot down the rumors himself via a Twitter message and voice mail to Rolling Stone. He stated, "There’s so much misinformation, so I wanted to clarify that I’m not in the studio recording with any of the Guns N’ Roses guys. At this point in time, I’m not involved in the actual shows… A lot of stuff [fans] are reading isn’t true.”

GN'R will be playing a number of April shows, including two gigs at the Coachella festival. See their current itinerary here.
