The Evansville Police Department is asking for your help in funding their annual "Cops Connecting with Kids" trip to Disney World by chowing down on some delicious food from Chick-Fil-A.

Over the past couple of years, the "Cops Connecting with Kids" program has rewarded kids in the area who make good grades and exhibit good behavior with a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, a trip their families otherwise can't afford.

The most recent trip this past January featured 48 kids as well as adult chaperones including EPD Chief Billy Bolin, and Sergeant Jason Culllum. Taking that many people on an all-expenses paid trip to the Magic Kingdom doesn't come cheap, which is why the fundraising effort for next year's trip is already underway.

This includes Thursday's "Spirit Day" event at Chick-Fil-A near the intersection of Cross Pointe Boulevard and the Lloyd Express. Beginning at 5:45 a.m. and running throughout the day until the close of business at 10:00 p.m., simply show the photo below to the cashier at Chick-Fil-A, and they'll make a donation to Cops Connecting with Kids to help fund next year's trip! You can also presented a printed copy if that's easier.
