Con 101: What IS A Comic Con?

I just got back from Indiana Comic Con this past weekend and it occured to me that there are many people who have never been to a Con, or really know what goes on. So I thought I'd help and give some basic Con 101 tips.

For those of you that have never been to a Comic Con before, or are thinking of going to your first Comic Con, there are some things you need to know. Mostly: What IS Comic Con and what all goes on there? What should you expect? What should you bring? WHO DO YOU WEAR???
