Charlie Sheen made a large donation to help a young girl in need. And this wasn't like his normal recipients who are "dancing" their way through medical school and former child stars who are in a lot of legal trouble.

Sheen recently had a conversation with a police officer from Hermosa Beach, CA (and it didn't result from an arrest). According to TMZ, the officer told Sheen about a colleague who had a daughter, 10-year-old Jasmine, with childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.

The cancer is treatable but requires nearly a year of chemotherapy treatments. Sheen then said that no parent should have to watch their child go through that.

The next day Sheen wrote a $75,000 check to the Hermosa Beach Police Association, which had been raising money for Jasmine. Sheen's stunt double, Eddie Braun, also cut a check for an additional $25,000.

Jasmine and her family are sure to be extra thankful for the donation. Unlike Lindsey Lohan who recieved $100,000 from Sheen and has yet to thank him.
