Today’s celebrity cleavage belongs to a 40-year-old BET Award winning actress who was raised in New York while her mother worked as a Broadway performer and her dad worked behind the scenes at PBS television, as well as a producer on shows like ‘Sanford and Son ‘and Russell Simmons’ ‘Def Comedy Jam’.

After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in English and Yale University with a degree in drama, her father encouraged her to make Los Angeles her home base where she could pursue a full-time acting career.

As a young actress, she landed roles on episodes of ‘In the House,’ ‘Family Matters,’ ‘NYPD Blue,’ ‘Moesha,’ and in 1998, she gained some notable recognition for her work in the movie ‘Blade’ with Wesley Snipes and ‘Life’ with Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy.

In 2001, she was named by Ebony Magazine as one of its 55 Most Beautiful People and was honored by Essence Magazine and Black Entertainment Television.
