Metal Gear Solid 5's Fox Engine is set to make Snake look even better as he crawls around and grumbles in his non-David Hayter voice.
Legendary thrashers Anthrax have been busting out some mind-blowing surprises lately. On Wednesday night (March 27), Anthrax brought both legendary guitarist Slash and iconic Public Enemy rapper Chuck D onstage on Los Angeles. Now comes news that last night in San Francisco, Anthrax were joined by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett for an explosive live performance of AC/DC's 'T.N.T.'
It's no secret that I am a fan of pretty much all things 90's. Considering the fact that I was born in 1975, the 1990's pretty much covered the most important, formative time of my life...high school and college. So you'll understand why I'm so amped to do the 90's at Nine every weekday morning!
There was a time not so long ago when people claimed that the art of shred was dead. However, while all of the indie-pop enthusiasts were going unplugged, and posing as limp-wrist martyrs for a dying alternative, guitar virtuosos like Sam Westphalen were keeping the badass alive by selling their souls to the devil. What did they get in exchange? They learned how to make Slayer tunes sound cool on the acoustic guitar.
Not sure how all this started, as I all I came across was this small piece of footage showing road rage between a man an women vs. a pair of young dudes. Young dude driver gets a fist full and then, well, you can watch the rest
Sevendust, a band out of the Atlanta area are the frontrunners of the rock formula of very rough style vocals on the verse parts of the song, which later explode into a melodious chorus. It's my belief that they have influenced many bands in rock since Sevendust first hit the scene in 1994, while releasing the debut album in 1997
Shinedown and Three Days Grace may be co-headlining their current tour, but the third act on the bill isn't exactly your average opener. Veteran hard rock outfit P.O.D. has been playing alongside the two bands throughout both legs of their touring, making for a solid trifecta of rock acts. P.O.D.'s sets are making it worthwhile to get there early, and the band has enjoyed a set crossover of late with Shinedown's Zach Myers joining their performances to play their cover of U2's 'Bullet the Blue Sky.'
Ever since Stone Sour unveiled the trailer in late February for 'Do Me a Favor,' fans have been not-so-patiently waiting to find out what the full vividly artistic clip would end up being. As it turns out, frontman Corey Taylor and company have incorporated several of the characters from the 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' concept album into the animated narrative for the clip.
I have always thought that the true test of a band, singer, performer, whatever is how well he/she does live. Anyone can go in a studio and have a producer make you sound good. But can they do it when it counts? SHINEDOWN answers that question with a big fat EFF YEAH!
The Miami Heat won their 27th straight game on Monday night, 108-94 over the Orlando Magic. However it's not the game that is sticking in our minds, it's LeBron's very funny videobome of Ray Allen's post game interview.
LeBron had 27 points, 11 assists and one very awesome moment of comedic genius. There's a reason
