Election 2020

I’m not sure what is going on in Southern Indiana this week, but to say that it has me nervous is an understatement. I only feel somewhat safe as I am currently tucked deep inside a make shift tornado shelter typing this thing out with one hand, while barring the door with the other.

I recently asked myself and four other random people from the Evansville area a series of five questions on the subject of local food, drink, music, and politics. This is what we had to say:

All good things must come to an end. As GOP candidates were picked off like American Idol contestants this year, SNL was ready to bid them a goodbye.

Especially if the topic is gun control. Recently "The Nuge" was a guest on the CNN program Piers Morgan Tonight. The conversation turned to gun control and Ted Nugent was off and running. I have to assume by now that you know The Nuge is one of the biggest and most outspoken proponents of the 2nd Amendment and our right to bear arms.

Rick Santorum. At this point, a long shot to be the Republican nominee for President. He is losing to guys with the first names of 'Newt' and 'Mitt'...which would totally be a kick ass name for a morning show, right? "Hey it's 'Newt and Mitt in the Morning'!!! Good-Good Morning to ya! And were back!!"

Oh sweet irony, how I love you. Nothing can be more ironic than the Indiana legislature backing off from a bill that would require welfare recipients to take drug tests, because they would have to be drug tested themselves.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the folks at Bad Lip Reading are geniuses! I don't know how they come up with their ridiculously random statements...and I don't care. It's some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen. Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is their most recent victim.

First, I have to give a tip of the cap to Bobby G. who has posted numerous times on the hilarious treasure of 'bad lip reading'.  Well...there is another short one floating out there that needs a little web time.

Now that he is no longer running for president, Herman Cain is opening up about the accusations facing him. Of course, I'm talking about him writing speeches that contain Pokemon quotes.

Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain just can't catch a break lately. He's been taking abuse in the media for the past several weeks, mostly centered around allegations of sexual harassment.

The geniuses from Bad Lip Reading are back...and this time their target is Texas Congressman Ron Paul. They have already had their way with other Republican Presidential hopefuls Rick Perry, Mit Romney, Michelle Bachmann and Herman Cain.
