Buy One, Get One: Jeweler Promotes Engagement Ring, Shotgun Sale

Ladies get some jewelry to show off to friends and family. Guys get stuck with the bill. If an engagement is a celebration why aren't both parties getting gifts? 

Harold van Beek is the jeweler who is promoting the ultimate shotgun wedding. He is currently offering a free firearm for every guy purchasing an engagement ring worth at least $1999.

Van Beek's store is located near Cedar Rapids, and will running the special through the end of October. He says its geared for those guys who don't "hunt" for diamonds, but for those who "hunt deer".

Of course the promotion is limited by state law. So sales to felons and addicts are banned.
