Wikipedia Encyclopedia quotes the term Burlesque as meaning a literary, dramatic or musical work intended to cause laughter by caricaturing the manner or spirit of serious works, or by ludicrous treatment of their subjects.[1] The word derives from the Italian burlesco, which, in turn, is derived from the Italian burla – a joke, ridicule or mocker.

Well I don't know about that definition, because that's not the kind of show I've been to.  Our Hometown Burlesque "Glitter In The Air" has another big event coming up. It's happening at Germania Maennerchor On April 2nd.

Expect an evening of singing, dancing, pin up girlscomedy and beautiful babes in skimpy clothes.
