The Fall TV season is here! That means the return of some of your favorites, and the introduction of a bunch of new shows. I wanna tell you about a couple new ones I’m pretty excited about – Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Sleepy Hollow.

Thanks to my buddy Eric Stremming over at FOX44 for giving me a sneak peak at these shows which actually begin next week. Here’s a brief preview, and you can decide for yourself if they are worth your time.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Airs on Tuesdays at 7:30pm (right before New Girl) on FOX, and starts September 17th. This is another attempt at a nutty cop comedy – and if the first episode is any indication, it will be just that. Andy Samberg (SNL) leads the way as Detective Jake Peralta, a really smart cop who just can’t seem to follow the rules. Okay, I realize that line sounds really generic and done 100 times, but this show is funny. If you're a fan of Samberg's style, you will probably do a bit of LOL'ing during this one. You’ll also recognize Andre Braugher as the new Captain and Terry Crews (The Expendables) playing another dude named Terry. And on a side note, you most definitely need to stick around for the show following this one, New Girl, which just happens to be one of the funniest shows on TV...period.

Sleepy Hollow

Airs on Monday nights at 8pm on FOX, and starts on September 16th. This is another re-telling of the story of the Headless Horseman, but with a new twist. This time around, with the help of some magic and supernatural forces, the story is being told in modern times - and Ichabod Crane isn’t the pointy-nosed wimp you may remember from the old cartoon. Crane is now a soldier in George Washington’s army and is responsible for the Horseman’s sudden weight loss (his head). He and the Horseman both emerge in modern day Sleepy Hollow and wackiness promptly ensues. Crane has to convince the local authorities that he’s not crazy. They are finally convinced when they meet the Horseman themselves.

But why are they there? What’s the story? This is where they snagged my interest and curiosity. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything here when I tell you that the story takes a Biblical turn. Think Four Horsemen of the apocalypse. I’m gonna give this show a chance and see where it goes. Check out the preview below.
