The Evansville Water Utility announced on Tuesday the boil advisory for the City's west side has been lifted.

The Utility issued the advisory on Saturday after a water main break on Upper Mount Vernon Road just west of the intersection with Tekoppel Avenue.

The advisory was bordered by the Ohio River on the south, the Posey County line on the west, St. Joe Avenue on the east and the City Water District boundary on the North.

According to the Evansville Courier and Press, Water Utility officials said no contaminants were found in the samples collected from the area leading to the lifting of the advisory.
