Soldier Dogs for Independence is putting on their 3rd annual Paws 4 a Vet event next Saturday, April 30th. It's one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. Listen to my interview with Soldier Dog's Michael Barrentine to find out more.

In a nutshell, Soldier Dogs for Independence is a local organization that matches up dogs with veterans. The vets train these animals to become service dogs. They train them to meet their particular service needs. Michael Barrentine does a much better job explaining all the good that these dogs do for our vets. He explains in great details the importance of this program, not only for the vets but for the dogs too.
