Bobby G’s Trailer Park – ‘Small Apartments’ Looks Quirky to Say the Least [Video]

I was almost ready to stop watching this trailer about 20 seconds in. Why? Well, it just looked strange right off the bat...then I see that the director is some dude named Jonas Åkerlund, with a funky symbol over the 'A'...and then I see something about the SXSW Film Festival. But, alas, I decided to ride it out, and I'm glad I did.

As the trailer progresses, you realize that there are some big-time names (or at least a lot of familiar faces) in Small Apartments. Maybe there's something to this movie. Let me just name a few of the folks you might recognize. Well there's Billy Crystal and James Caan, there's Johnny Knoxville and James Marsden, plus Amanda Plummer and David Koechner (Champ from Anchorman). Oh yeah, and Dolph Lundgren as a self-help guru. Sweet!

From what I can tell, the movie is about this weird looking dude named Franklin Franklin. The actor is Matt Lucas...he was with Rebel Wilson as the creepy couple living with Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaids. Anyhoo, there is something to do with a dead landlord and a talking dog. You'll have to figure out the rest on your own.

It certainly looks amusing and entertaining. Maybe not enough to shell out $8 at the theater...but it's definitely Netflix material.
