What do you get for a city on it's bicentennial? So difficult to shop for but a park is always in fashion.

In case you missed the news amongst the fervor and excitement of the Colts' first victory of the season on Sunday, Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel made the following announcement:

“We've tried to think of a way to commemorate 200 years of existence and really the thing we kept coming back to was to try to create a permanent place that everybody in the community could enjoy,” said Weinzapfel. “We couldn't think of a better thing than a park to be called bicentennial park.”

According to the Courierpress, The park will be located between Sycamore and Vine and the hope is that it will entice all various forms of entertainment (concerts, etc.) along with attracting more businesses to the area.  So...what do you think? Exciting? Meh?
