The We Are Evansville group will be shooting a community video and picture on Evansville’s Riverfront this Saturday, June 1st at 11am on Riverside Drive.

Everyone is invited to gather in front of the 4 Freedoms Monument where they will get assignments and directions. The shoot will begin promptly at 11am, so we are asking that everyone arrive a little early for directions and placement.

We are asking all participants to wear bright colors. If you have a We Are Evansville t-shirt we are asking that you wear it. If you do not have one, they will be for sale that morning. ($5 for sizes child to XL and $7 for 2xl and 3xl. Proceeds go to Evansville Parks Foundation).

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has declared May 31st as We Are Evansville Day and is encouraging everyone to show their support and community pride by wearing your t-shirts and displaying the message at local businesses.

In the event of rain the shoot will be rescheduled.

We Are Evansville was started by a group of students with the mission to “promote and celebrate all things that define Evansville.”

This community photo and video shoot will take place immediately following the monthly Clean Evansville litter pick-up. Clean Teams will be picking-up trash in the Downtown area from 9am-10:30am. The wrap-up ceremony will be held near the Pagoda at 10:45am.
