As a fan, everyone dreams of one day being invited onstage by their favorite band to get behind the microphone and sing the classics for a roaring crowd. This dream became a reality for one Avenged Sevenfold fan, Daniel, who was in attendance at the band's show in Nottingham, England on Wednesday night (Jan. 18).

With bassist Johnny Christ feeling under the weather and unable to perform backing vocals, M. Shadows looked to the crowd for a temporary backing singer. Singling out one fan, the singer pointed and said, "You! You know every f--king lyric. You're probably better than me, so why don't you come up here and sing some f--king lyrics up there?"

Informing the crowd that the next song up would be "Nightmare," Shadows put his arm over Daniel's shoulder as the melodies and stunted rhythms came in. The fan's performance was not the best as his voice cracked early and often, seemingly overtaken with nervous anticipation and utter excitement. "I blew my voice out at like Disturbed [who went on before Avenged]. It was long gone by the time I was on the stage," Daniel said, speaking about his efforts.
