I'm an on-air personality on The River City Rocker, 103GBF...been that way for the past 14 years.

Aside from loving the music we play, I also thoroughly enjoy sports...Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and UK.

General: Hanging out at the house. Watching the aforementioned sports....drinking beer.  Real high brow stuff.

Music: I'm pretty much across the board. I can appreciate all genres of music.  Short list of favorite groups: Green Day, Weezer, Rancid, System of a Down, A Tribe Called Quest, The Cure, Less Than Jake, Beastie Boys and N.W.A (I'm hard).

Movies: Favorites include the original Star Wars trilogy, Swingers, Old School, Office Space, Kingpin, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy. Real high-brow shit.

Television: Law and Order (SVU mainly), House and sports. Anything else I might casually glance at.

Rick Santorum and ‘Bad Lip Reading’

Rick Santorum. At this point, a long shot to be the Republican nominee for President. He is losing to guys with the first names of 'Newt' and 'Mitt'...which would totally be a kick ass name for a morning show, right?

"Hey it's 'Newt and Mitt in the Morning'!!! Good-Good Morning to ya! And were back!!"

‘Breaking Bad’ As An Old School Nintendo Game

Breaking Bad is an immensely popular show on AMC.  Full disclosure, I've actually never seen it.  I have heard it's "must see" and stuff so I will have to get caught up eventually.  They are into their fourth season and this hypothetical game, that I would have loved to play back in the day, takes you through the journey via playable characters.  8-bit NES style.

Another Super Bowl Commerical Has Been Leaked

I guess you are going to have to watch on Sunday for the game itself instead of those clever commercials. I'm not sure why but ad agencies are hellbent on giving away the surprise for free on the internet, as evidenced by (most recently) the Ferris Bueller ad that I posted about right here.

This one is from another car company, Acura, and stars Jerry Seinfeld. Another piece of nostalgia that is trying to get us to pop for a new ride.

Peyton Manning Speaks About His Future and More

It's Super Bowl week and the running joke is that there will finally be a Manning playing at Lucas Oil this year.  Of course, Peyton's brother Eli of the NFC Champion New York Giants would be that Manning.  With his lingering health issues and the recent back and forth with Colts owner Jim Irsay, it looks like an acrimonious divorce is coming sooner than later.  It especially helps that the Colts are in line to draft the best QB prospect, Andrew Luck, in this year's Draft.  The best prospect since...Peyton Manning.

25th Anniversary: Slick, Sandman and Daisy from ‘Rock of Love’

Here is another "look back" at a significant moment in our history. Much like a similar blog I posted several weeks ago, I am not entirely sure on the exact date of this event. I do remember that it took place at Woody's/Harpole's at the Main Street Exit which, as you know, has since closed due to the fire in 2009. If memory serves, this evening was only a few weeks prior to the fire making this night one of the final big events in that building.

‘Ferris Bueller’ Returns This Sunday?

The teaser hit the 'ol web over the weekend and after the jump, you can watch the whole thing in it's entirety. It was instant nostalgia regarding one of the best movies ever (no hyperbole...'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' still kicks ass to this day) and went viral quickly with many speculating that a Ferris Bueller's Day Off 2 would be coming soon to a theater near you. Well...that's not quite the case. Matthew Broderick sort of reprises the role that made him famous and got all us 30 somethings excited for about two seconds, until finding out that Ferris has returned to sell you a Honda.

‘The Walking Dead’ Opening Credits In The Style of ‘Growing Pains’

Well, why not? The Walking Dead is a hit show on AMC that is about the end of the world and zombies and stuff. I think. Regardless, it is not light in fare or wholesome by any stretch of the imagination. However, with the re-working of the opening credits with the theme song to the hit 80's sitcom 'Growing Pains', you could've fooled me.

Kramer Discovers Dubstep

Ah...a melding of 90's and today's pop culture into one delicious stew.

Dubstep is a new form that is on the rise. You may remember us playing that new song from Korn 'Get Up' which features Skrillex. Well, it's a little known fact that dubstep showed up for the first time during the best TV series of the 90's (all-time?) Seinfeld. Either that or somebody got clever and synced up today with some classic spastic Kramer commotion.
