I'm an on-air personality on The River City Rocker, 103GBF...been that way for the past 14 years.

Aside from loving the music we play, I also thoroughly enjoy sports...Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and UK.

General: Hanging out at the house. Watching the aforementioned sports....drinking beer.  Real high brow stuff.

Music: I'm pretty much across the board. I can appreciate all genres of music.  Short list of favorite groups: Green Day, Weezer, Rancid, System of a Down, A Tribe Called Quest, The Cure, Less Than Jake, Beastie Boys and N.W.A (I'm hard).

Movies: Favorites include the original Star Wars trilogy, Swingers, Old School, Office Space, Kingpin, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy. Real high-brow shit.

Television: Law and Order (SVU mainly), House and sports. Anything else I might casually glance at.

New ‘Muppets’ Trailer

Apparently it's movie trailer Thursday on the ol' site.  I guess, perhaps...can't help but to put up the brand new trailer for 'The Muppets' movie that is due in theaters on November 23rd.
I orginally posted about there being a new Muppets movie here and it's something that haven't stopped smiling about since.  I dare ya to watch it and not have the same reaction.

SNL spoof of ‘Moneyball’

Don't ask my why but this is my second 'Moneyball' related post in a week.  I said don't ask!!  Sorry...some wounds never heal.

This is from this week's Saturday Night Live with Ben Stiller as the host.  I made it through the monologue before blinking and the sun was up.  I'm old, what can I say.  However, through the magic of the interwebz and them DVR doohickeys...we can watch stuff anytime we want.  This spoof takes a different approach than the one I posted on about a week ago.

Moneyball: The New York Yankees version

I went and saw Moneyball this past weekend. The flick stars Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, the rogue Oakland A's General Manager who bucked the system by signing players based on an algorithm that includes On Base Pct and pant size. I think.  Jonah Hill plays the smart guy who does the math stuff.  It's based on the best selling book of the same name and is not a bad movie at could probably wait for it to be on PPV/Blu-Ray/Netflix/whatever you kids use to get your movies nowadays.

Hank Williams Jr. compares Obama to Hitler

And his open for Monday Night Football was subsequently yanked before last night's Bucs/Colts game (heard here on 103GBF...the game, not the sound of ESPN "yanking" Hank).  Yanking Hank? Is that in Should be.  Oh well, back to the comparing the leader of the free world to a man who killed over 6 million people.

Madonna performing at the Super Bowl

In the time honored tradition since Janet Jackson whipped out a naughty part of the female anatomy

the organizers of the "Big Game" in February that involves a ball made out of pigskin have had a plan.

That plan involved booking primarily old music folk to perform...Black Eyed Peas excluded.  Enter Madonna...your halftime entertainment for the big game.  And the reaction has been, well...take it away Twitter via!

Andy Rooney…out of context

Andy Rooney is a miserly, old curmudgeon...who is old.  Hell, he was old when I was a kid 25 years ago.  He has been a staple on 60 Minutes (that show your grandparents loved) for Lord knows how many years and is apparently retiring this week.  What better way to send him out the door than to mash up some of his "get off my lawn" soliloquies to make him look silly?
