Mark Giles was definitely trying to score points with his son Braydon this Xmas, buying the kid a Nintendo 3DS for under the tree. The 3DS is pretty pricey, particularly because this model is equipped with a built-in camera feature, so Giles opted for a refurbished version from a local GameStop.
With the Christmas countdown officially at 11 days, we can hardly contain our excitement for presents and Santa and grandma's awesome cookies. All this holiday hype has got us thinking, though: Do you honestly know the true story of Christmas?
It's been one hell of a great beer week for us. We've learned which brews are awesome gifts (and apology presents for grabbing the wrong "Christmas hams" at the office party) and which ale we should choose to celebrate the impending end of the world. Now, we're stoked to bring you the so-called "world's best beer."
Contrary to popular belief, photobombing is super hard, and it requires a lot of skill. For starters, you have to get the timing down perfectly and do it so no one posing actually notices your moves leading up to the photobomb.
Take any food, deep fry it or add some bacon, and you've got us hooked. There's really nothing better than a nasty, greasy mess or extra meat strips to really make our testosterone sing. Think about it-- would you eat raw turkey testicles? Probably not. What about fried turkey testicles? Solid maybe. There are rare moments, however, when these two perfect cooking tactics combine to make an insane creation. This is one of those moments.
If you ask us, there are two things that will never, ever go out of style: zombies and babes. Better yet, just combine the two. What can we say; there's something about bloody women in bikinis that just gets us going.
There are tons of things we love about Thanksgiving, like how it's socially acceptable to dress up as a pilgrim in public. (Other people do that too, right?) Obviously boats full of gravy will trump square-buckled shoes every time though. Unless
Veteran's Day is one of the greatest American holiday, because we get to celebrate those who have and are still serving our country. It's one of the greatest sacrifices; these men and women are leaving their loved ones to risk their lives for us. For that, we give them a sincere thank you.
We've recently realized kids offer us some very valuable insight into life's strangest and toughest questions. For example: What do dinosaurs feel like? Answer: They don't like to be CRUUUUSHED! The guys over at Adult Swim's 'Thing X,' the new website from some former 'Onion' staffers, decided to pick the brain of a typical human child to see what really goes on in these smart cookie minds.
With the presidential election less than a week away, candidates are bombarding us from all angles with ads, debates and last-minute pushes to secure votes. (Their efforts are pretty much pointless considering we joined The Pizza Party a while back, but that's besides the point.)
In all seriousness, all this presidential hoopla can be a little overwhelming and upsetting at times. This is especially true if you're a politically-aware four-year-old.
