Historic Newburgh, Inc. is pleased to announce its auditions for the next Historic Newburgh Theatre performance, Murder’s in the Heir.  Auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 and Monday, July 20 from 4:00 to 8:00.  Applications may be picked up at the HNI office or at the Ohio Township Central Library off Bell Road, on the Audition dates.

There are 13 characters in this fun “who done it” play.  Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him.  Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will.  His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula (a Southern belle) and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants.

“Murder’s in the Heir” is an Audience Interactive Murder Mystery-Comedy. Three performances are scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd at 7:30 PM and the 4th at 2:00 PM in Preservation Hall, 200 State Street.  Reserved seating will be offered for all performances.
