‘Amazing Spiderman’ Is Confirmed As The First Film Of (ANOTHER) Trilogy

With the premiere of 'The Amazing Spiderman' this week, another nail is driven in to the Tobey Maguire version of that character. And after I had to sit through 'emo Spiderman' in the last movie of that trilogy, I believe Maguire owes me a refund.

However a post on the 'Amazing Spiderman' Facebook page, confirms what we all pretty much knew. This movie will launch yet another trilogy. Given the success of Christopher Nolan's relaunch of the Batman series, it seems that Sony is moving full steam ahead.

And just like Spiderman 3 ruined that trilogy, the Batman series before that was ruined by awkward codpieces and that TERRIBLE Seal song (although ofHuman rocked it out last week in the Rocktagon). And remember those TERRIBLE one-liners by Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze.

Although Sony has no clue if The Amazing Spiderman will turn in to another 'Green Lantern' (another superhero they hoped to turn in to a franchise), work has already began writing a sequel. There are even hints throughout The Amazing Spiderman that the movie will require a sequel.

Whatever happens lets hope that Tobey Maguire will issue an apology for this scene from Spiderman 3, or he can send my ticket refund here to the station.
