It's great to listen to Alice in Chains perform, but how cool would it be to be able to play like guitarist Jerry Cantrell? The musician was on hand at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles to show exactly how the 2014 edition of Rocksmith can help you do just that.

The Rocksmith brand has been responsible for helping teach 1.4 million people worldwide how to play guitar, and the latest installment coming in October will allow players to plug any real guitar or bass into their Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC or Mac to begin a new musical journey.

Cantrell introduced the new interface to audiences, first rocking out a little bit of 'Man in the Box' before using the selector panel to switch up instruments and deliver a full-on jam for those in attendance. Video of the presentation can be seen above. He also confirmed that the band's current chart-topping single, 'Stone,' would be one of the songs featured on 'Rocksmith 2014.'

The Alice in Chains singer-guitarist added, "Rocksmith’s new Session Mode feature is one of the most innovative music technologies in recent history and gives you the experience of playing with a real band that actually adapts to you. The new Rocksmith 2014 Edition teaches real techniques for players of all skill levels.”

The new interface makes learning more easily accessible. Players can use the fully-customizable "Riff Repeater" to make their selection of song while also adjusting the difficulty. In addition, the new "Master Mode" makes playing by memory more approachable, while the "Guitarcade" provides the opportunity to make games out of your performances.

In addition to the aforementioned 'Stone,' 'Rocksmith 2014' will feature such tracks as Aerosmith's 'Walk This Way,' the Smashing Pumpkins' 'The Chimera,' Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' and many other tracks. Those who pre-order 'Rocksmith 2014' from selected retailers will get the Smashing Pumpkins' 'Cherub Rock' as a free bonus song available for download. For more info and to pre-order, click here.
