This fan-made Source mod takes all the atmospheric frights of the Silent Hill series and revamps them in a way that would scare off every intrepid feeling you could have.

While we're going to have to wait for Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima's Silent Hills, Silent Hill: Alchemilla is a free project that takes the first game's obscure sense of terror and gives it a fresh coat of paint with the Source engine.

RockPaperShotgun reports that  Alchemilla is all about Silent Hill's puzzles and creepy environments without having much combat, much like 2009's Shattered Memories remake of the original for the Nintendo Wii. Focusing on a first-person journey through Silent Hill is much akin to what we're expecting from Kojima and what we saw from P.T., a few months ago, but much more in line with series' debut title. Make sure you check the trailer above from GLS Machinima to see all of Alchemilla's bloody writing on the walls -- they've even got some hellacious nurses.

"Alchemilla Mod it's attempt to recreate original atmosphere of cult game Silent Hill on the Source Engine. It is not rebuild to one of games of series, it's own history on it's reasons. Above all things a project is developed for fanaticisms original game," the trailer's description reads.

It's so creepy!
