Last week I had you answer some trivia questions to win A7X tickets, and it made me realize that trivia is tough!!! Here are some things you might have learned last week about Avenged Sevenfold on-air, and some new trivia to brush up on.

1. You know they weren't born with those names, right? As cool as it would be for 5 teens with names like "M. Shadows", "Synyster Gates", and "Zacky Vengeance" to not only live in the same area, but also decide to make a band together...That's not what happened.

Here are there real names:

M. Shadows = Matthew Sanders
Zacky Vengeance = Zachary Baker
Synyster Gates = Brian Haner Jr.
Johnny Christ = Jonathan Seward
The Rev (RIP) = James "Jimmy" Sullivan

2. Their fist album was made while they were still in High School.

"Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" was recorded while the guys were still seniors in high school.

3. They've only had one studio album go Platinum in the U.S.

They've had other albums go Platinum in Canada (Nightmare, Hail to the King) and the U.K. But "City of Evil" is the only album (so far) to be certified Platinum in the U.S.

"Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough" also went Platinum in the U.S., but wasn't considered a "studio album" since a majority of the tracks are from a live concert.

4. They got their name from the Bible.

"Therefore, whoever kills Cain will be avenged sevenfold."
-Genesis 4:15, Lexham English Bible

5. Their longest song (to date) is "Exist" off of their latest album "The Stage". It is 15 minutes and 41 seconds long.

6. I don't know if you noticed this....but Zacky Vengeance is left handed.

7. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan was a prodigy from day one.

Bonus Fact: Avenged Sevenfold will be rocking out the Ford Center on Feb. 3rd with Breaking Benjamin and Bullet For My Valentine and you could be there!
