Ash Wednesday is, well, this Wednesday, which starts the beginning of Lent. Do you know what you're giving up?

I went to catholic school my whole life. K-12. The whole Catholic nine yards. Which means I have a sixth sense about when Catholic holidays are coming up. Next on the Calendar? Lent. And during this time, you're generally supposed to give something up for the 40 days of Lent leading up to Easter.

So I thought I'd give you some ideas to help you out on Ash Wednesday.

Things You Could Give Up For Lent:

1. Exercise.

Let's face it, your New Years Resolution was dying anyway. Let's just make it official.

2. Using Your Turn Signal.

Not like anyone around here uses 'em anyway. Might as well let God know about it.

3. Getting to Work on Time.

Have to be in at 8? Show up at 8:15. See who notices.

"Johnson, why are you late?"
"Because I promised God I would be."
"Oh....okay...?"

4. Eating Healthy.

It's a pain to do anyway. Might as well just go on a 40 day carb load and sugar bender.

5. Your In-Laws.

"I'm sorry, honey, I can't have dinner with your family tonight. I promised god I wouldn't. And he's kind of on my side with this one..."

There. I hope those helped get your mind juices flowing.
