Time for a fun little list.  5 Songs From Bands Named After A Member Of The Band!   Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, etc are the frontmen of their own band that bears their name.  Kid Rock and Lenny really can't do a 'solo' album, but the 5 bands below...well, they're a different story.  You'll See what I mean.

Breaking Benjamin: Named for front man Benjamin Burnley, his ex-bandmates actually tried to sue Ben for the rights to use the name Breaking Benjamin.  Dumbasses.  They lost the suit and Ben fired them after that.  Good job, Ben.

White Zombie: Named after frontman Rob Zombie, of course.  Rob disbanded White Zombie and formed a band that more in tune with himself...Rob Zombie.  White Zombie will forever be etched into our brains thanks to songs like the one below.

Dio:  Named for Ronnie James Dio, who's birthday is Friday.  He would have been 72 had he lived, but he succumbed to cancer 5 years ago.  Ronni had been in Rainbow and Black Sabbath, after which he thought...I'm going to name my next band after me!  The rest is legend.

Van Halen: When Alex and Eddie first hooked up bassist Michael Anthony they were called "Mammoth".  They recruited singer David Lee Roth and the brothers said "screw this, let's name the band after us!"  Sounds better than calling the band "Roth"!

Halestorm:  Lzzy and brother Arejay came up for the name of their band back in their teenage years.  Halestorm is a clever play on words and they've grown into one of the biggest names in mainstream rock today.
