Well, as much as we'd like to think winter is almost over, due to the warm temps over the next few days, it's far from over.  It will get cold again and most likely it will snow again.  Nobody likes to deal with the hassles of traversing in the snow, so maybe that's why a "Snow" inspired theme makes a horror movie even more "chilling" and uncomfortable for us.  Here are my pics for The Top 5 Snow Themed Horror movies in no particular order.

30 Days Of Night

Vampires, ugly ones too, attack a town in Alaska.

Let Me In

Set in a small town in the winter, a young fella has a new neighbor. A little girl that turns out to be more than human.

The Thing

Early 80's classic from horror master John Carpenter, featuring his go to guy Kurt Russel.  A remake of the 1950's movie of the same name, about a deadly alien that infiltrates a science base at the Arctic Circle.

Dead Of Winter

Not really a horror movie as much as a thriller, but with plenty of scary elements. Stars Mary Steenburgen and the late Roddy McDowell.  I've seen this movie several times. I still like it.

The Shining

It would be hard to omit this one from the list. Jack Nicholson loses his marbles and threatens his own family while working as the winter caretaker of the snow covered Overlook Hotel. A classic.

That's My List, and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for checking it out.
