Cops and firefighters from around the Tri-State will trade in the boxing gloves for hockey skates to raise money for 911 Gives Hope.

What began as an exhibition after an IceMen home game three years ago has grown into its own stand-alone event thanks to the support of the community. Both teams are made up of police and firefighters who enjoy the game and play in recreational leagues at Swonder Ice Arena.

The third annual contest will hit the ice inside the Ford Center on Saturday, October 4th at 7pm with tickets available now at the Evansville Firefighters Credit Union at 312 N 4th Avenue, or the Evansville IceMen Office at 530 Main Street for only $10 a person.

Proceeds from the event will benefit 911 Gives Hope, a non-profit charity consisting of local police and firefighters whose mission is to build a home for children afflicted with Prader–Willi Syndrome. For more info on 911 Gives Hope, visit their official website.
