12-Year-Old Evansville Boy Battling Brain Cancer – Help Make His Wish of Going to Legoland Come True!
Lonnie is a loving 12 year-old boy who is always friendly! Lonnie enjoys playing video games and hanging out in his free time. He is also quite intelligent. Lonnie enjoys building things with Legos as well as other items. In fact, he wants to be an engineer when he grows up.
However, Lonnie is currently battling astrocytoma, which is a type of cancer of the brain. Due to his malignant brain tumor, Lonnie has short term memory and vision impairment. This does not bring down Lonnie’s warm personality though. He continues to be helpful around the house and playful when it comes to friends and his family!
When Make-a-Wish® Wish-Granting volunteers met with Lonnie, he knew exactly what he wanted to wish for: to go to Florida. Lonnie would like to go to Universal Studios and Legoland while his is in Florida! The reason Lonnie would like to go to Universal Studios is to meet the different superheroes. Lonnie’s favorite superhero is Spiderman! Since Lonnie enjoys building things, Legoland will be the perfect opportunity for Lonnie to enjoy larger Lego features! This trip will be a great chance for Lonnie and his family to a take a well deserved break and relax.
Make-A-Wish® of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana wants to send Lonnie to Florida but to grant wishes of local sick children, we need to raise some funds! What better way than to go GOLFING!
