Half way through the season of high school football, and it turned out here are some pretty freakin' awesome football players coming out of the tri-state area and we want to honor the best of the best.

Each week, we'll check out the top five performances from the past week and open up voting for you to choose your favorite player as the 103GBF High School 'Stud of the Gridiron.'

Vote for your favorite player now until 3 p.m. Friday, when we'll announce the winner in voting.

It starts up all over again next Monday.  If you vote too often the poll mechanism will set up a 'cool down' mode for you, keeping you from voting for an hour.

Here are the Studs from last Friday:

  • Isaiah Dunham DB for Reitz intercepted a second quarter pass to ignite the Panthers against Harrison. Reitz also forced the Warriors into 6 turnovers for the win
  • Brandon Combs RB for Memorial Caught two touchdown passes, had an interception and a fumble recovery as the Tigers creamed Bosse
  • Kurtis Wilderman QB for Mater Dei tossed 4 touchdown passes and ran for another as The Wildcats best North.
  • Jamir Simpson WR for Central caught a pass in the end of the end zone to seal the deal as Central beast previously unbeaten Castle
  • Isaac Sellers QB or Gibson Southern passed for 334 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another and Gibson Southern beat Princeton.
