Going back to school sucks for kids but high school football makes it totally worth it. There are some pretty freakin' awesome football players coming out of the tri-state area and we want to honor the best of the best.

Each week, we'll check out the top five performances from the past week and open up voting for you to choose your favorite player as the 103GBF High School 'Stud of the Gridiron.'

Vote for your favorite player now until 3 p.m. Friday, when we'll announce the winner in voting.

It starts up all over again next Monday.  If you vote too often the poll mechanism will set up a 'cool down' mode for you, keeping you from voting for an hour.

Here are the Studs from last Friday:

  • Michael Lindauer QB for Memorial finished 16 for 21 passing for 278 yards in Memorial's win against North
  • David Felton QB for Harrison ran for 200 yards and passed for 188 as the Warriors defeated Mater Dei
