Since going into business nearly a decade ago, The Musician’s Den has become one of Evansville’s most highly revered music stores – making their way in the tri-state through a warzone economy and a highly competitive internet marketplace.

Owner Tim Carter says that The Musician’s Den has been able to stay competitive to its loyal following by not only selling quality instruments, like Schecter, Charvel, Takamine, Michael Kelly, Seagull, Luna, Washburn, Peavey, Hughes and Kettner, Laney, Orange, Marshall, Traynor and Kustom, but also making sure that every instrument they sell is properly inspected before it leaves the store.

“I personally set them up, adjusting the neck, adjusting the string heights, checking the intonation,” he says. “I want all of our guitars to play as well as they possibly can for the customer.”

In addition to selling a diverse selection of musical instruments, The Musician’s Den also prides itself in offering firt-rate classes on guitar, bass, drums and even vocals. All of the instructors have decades of experience and can guide the musical paths of beginners up to even the most advanced players, according to Carter.

“Lessons are important because no musician ever knows everything there is… they can always be honing their craft, learning more techniques, more theory, making them a more versatile, more rounded musicians,” says Carter.
