Cesar Millan is coming on November 23 to the Centre and though Ihave seen him in countless television shows, I was curious about his background. I did a little research and found out 10 things that you might not have known about Cesar. Check them out below!

  • Cesar's first nickname was "the dirty dog boy" - because of his way with dogs on his grandfather's farm in Mexico. Cesar tried to not let the names get to him and is now an advocate against bullying.
  • Jada Pinkett-Smith was one of Cesar's first famous fans and supporters. He told her that he wanted to be on TV so she paid for an English tutor to help Cesar learn the language.
  • Cesar worked as a limo driver when he first moved to the United States.
  • Cesar spoke no English when he moved to America but is now traveling the world and giving lectures.
  • The Dog Whisper series would become National Geographic's No. 1 show during its first season. It has been broadcast in 80 countries.
  • Cesar would walk 30-40 dogs off leash as one of his jobs when he first came to the US. He didn't know it was illegal.
  • Cesar has spearheaded several philanthropic organizations including The Millan Foundation and supports other foundations such as Pups on Parole and the It Gets Better project.
  • He hosts a new show, Cesar Millan's Leader of the Pack. "It is my hope that Leader of the Pack will prevent the deaths of so many innocent dogs. My goal with this show is to awaken the world to how many dogs are killed unnecessarily every year, how we kill them, and how the world really treats what we call man’s best friend. By recognizing what is really happening around the world, we can save the lives of millions of dogs by respecting their love." -Cesar Millan
  • Millan's focuses on a general philosophy that he calls "calm-assertive energy." A person's attitude and energy is transferred to canine companions.

You’ll be amazed and inspired by the simplicity with which Cesar’s Way can bring harmony and balance into your and your dog’s lives. See the star of Nat Geo WILD’s brand new series Leader of the Pack and the original host of National Geographic’s Dog Whisperer perform his incredible dog training techniques, LIVE!
