There are very few established bands on earth comprised entirely of their original members, especially when it comes to longtime legends. Many are better off when lineups change, but these 10 acts started out with classic lineups from the get-go.

Pretty much each original member featured in this list is a bonafide legend. To many purists, an original lineup is the only true lineup. Though KISS have replaced Ace Frehley and Peter Criss with guys who wear the same makeup, the KISS Army will always praise the first four men to don the paint.

Some of these bands never experienced lineup changes because the group simply couldn’t go on without a single piece missing. Once John Bonham died, so did Led Zeppelin. Though the iconic group has reunited for some one-off shows thanks to guest performers (including John’s son Jason) Led Zeppelin will forever be Page, Plant, Jones and John Bonham. Rage Against the Machine have never switched around its members either because to many, it would simply be sacrilege.

In some cases, the original lineup on this list wasn't the band's best, but still legendary. Metallica, for example, started with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney. Metallica has certainly employed greater bassists since McGovney’s exit, but to many, Dave Mustaine’s influence resulted in Metallica’s greatest years. How did this affect Metallica’s placement in our list? You’ll have to watch to find out.
